Thank you for taking a moment to seek how you can help us.   Without the love and support of our partners we could not assist the many hurting people we encounter.

Also we would like to make you aware of the many areas of outreach you can be involved with. We of course support the Web site , Our New York based facility offers counseling and housing for women and children who have been victims of domestic violence. Our goal is to build a home for women and their children who are in need of short or long term care. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and all gifts are tax deductible.

You may send your donation via Check or Money Order by mailing it to:

Thank you for becoming a partner with us to deliver life, hope and healing love to those who so desperately need it.

Partners of House of Faith Ministry, Inc. provide funding in support of the organization's mission:

To sustain the mission of House of Hope

To provide financial support for all the organization's programs

To build a base of Friends throughout the Hudson Valley who have pledged to help end domestic violence in our community.

Examples of what your contribution can do:

$15 enables a volunteer to transport a woman to court for a custody hearing;

$44 feeds the women and children in our shelters for a day (supplemented by all the food donations we can get);

$200 supports for a week the work of our life skills counselors, who provides pre-employment training and prepares clients to support themselves and their children

House of Faith Ministry, Inc. makes the most of every donation. Every cash contribution means an additional enhancement to the services we are able to provide for our families.

Tool Kit to end domestic violence

The Violence Against Women Office, Office of Justice Programs, is pleased to announce the release of the Web-based Toolkit to End Violence Against Women, a product of the National Advisory Council on Violence Against Women.  You can find the Toolkit on the Internet at toolkit.ncjrs.org.

How can you help? By becoming informed, by volunteering, by donating "in-kind" materials and consumables. And most of all, by becoming a Partner of HOFM with your tax-deductible cash contribution.

Donors will receive our Quarterly  newsletter and invitations to special events such as our annual Walk of Hope and FALL Gala.

Volunteering

House of Faith Ministry, Inc. depends heavily on volunteer support in all our programs. Volunteers may find themselves shopping, cooking, cleaning, holding a baby while the mother cooks a meal, answering the hotline, issuing supplies to shelter residents, moving belongings, accompanying women to the Department of Social Services, providing other types of advocacy, running errands, doing clerical tasks, all of the above and more.

Volunteers are required to complete 12 hours of training before they are assigned to a particular program. Volunteer training is conducted three times a year. Participants attend four 3-hour sessions which generally are scheduled on weekday evenings.

There are no limitations on who can apply to become a volunteer as long as you are at least 18 years old and have a commitment to nonviolence.

For more information about volunteer opportunities, call the Volunteer Coordinator at (845) 765-0293.
